Hello, I’m Coach Rodney L. Johnson! I am a Certified Professional Relationship Coach with over 36 years of experience as a Speaker, Teacher, and Mentor. Since grade school, I have been helping people with their interpersonal relationships. I was that kid who always dreamed of uniting everyone, like a peacekeeper on the playground, hoping to create a bond among friends and strangers. I have always longed for deep connections with those special to me.
A few years ago, my passion and an opportunity allowed me to create, produce, and host an internet radio talk show on romantic relationships called “LoveScapes: A Beautiful View of Our Lives in Love.” The show was an incredible experience!
For 2 years, I conducted shows weekly with my co-host. Throughout the week, I administered surveys and group sessions with men and women to encourage them to reevaluate some damaging beliefs, resulting in a new awareness of themselves and the positive possibilities of their current and future relationships. Additionally, teaching Christian education for over 36 years has allowed me to mentor individuals and couples regarding their relationships and Spiritual transformation with God.
Being a Los Angeles Harbor Department Speakers Bureau member for two years allowed me to inspire junior high and high school students to weigh their personal and relationship choices early in life.
Over the years, I have noticed many individuals, including myself, have entered friendships/relationships unprepared to make them grow or last. The leading causes of the failure of friendships/relationships are:
- A lack of boundaries,
- Poor communication skills
- Difficulty expressing our feelings without starting an argument
- Ineffective conflict resolution experience
The good news is that we can change the outlook of our present and future friendships/relationships! If you desire to grow and are committed to the process, you can turn things around with some new understanding and tools!

For recreation, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, photography, movies, casual cycling, and experiencing early mornings outdoors.
