Still In Love

Some years have passed between us, and many things I can think of; plenty good, a little bad, and sad, but baby, I’m still in love. I hope that you still love me, too, despite our ups and downs; I was hoping when I grow old and gray, that you will still be around.

When I look into your loving eyes and the warm smile that you give, I remember why my longing heart sings and why it beats to live. Whether in a city or on a farm, I’ll walk with you hand in hand; I love spending my time with you, spontaneously or preplanned.

There are some simple things that you do that stand out in my mind, like walking across the room and the way that you say hi. Or when you’re giving advice, you’re serious, confident, and sure, and the funny expressions you make when receiving a manicure.

Seeing you all dressed up is something that never gets old; I still love seeing your name on a text and hearing the sound of your ringtone. I can’t forget your lively gestures whenever you’re telling a story; I couldn’t imagine my life without you or someone else could be for me.

It’s been a while since the day we first met, at the opening elevator doors; us standing there in a trance and the big smiles that we wore. From that time until now, I adore seeing your face; my heart races now as it did back then every moment we’re embraced.
